Itinerary
  • 7:00 am MOUNTAIN STANDARD TIME.  Please meet us at the Orange Torpedo Trips Office - 1512 N Main St, Riggins, ID 83549
  • You will use your personal vehicle to run shuttle with your guide. You will follow our guide downstream to the put-in point. The guide will drop the boat in the water, and you will follow your guide down to the take-out point to drop off your guides vehicle. The guide will ride back to the put-in with you, and at the end of the day the guide will drop you off at your vehicle.
  • 7:30-3:00 pm - Floating & Fishing! We generally aim for 7-8 hours of Fishing
  • 3:30-4:00pm - Guide drops you off at your vehicle, feel free to follow them back to Riggins! The guides head back to the Orange Torpedo Trips Office after the trip ends.

Where to Meet Orange Torpedo Trips

Meet at our shop in Riggins Idaho.  We are the 2nd to last building on the river side of the highway on the North end of town.

Accommodations

Riggins has a number of hotels.  We typically recommend the Salmon Rapids Lodge.

Camping

There are a number of campgrounds near by. One popular one is Spring Bar, upriver from Riggins.

Flying In

No great options for flying into Riggins.  If you are flying in via a private plane McCall is a popular spot.

  • Idaho General Fishing License
    • Purchase on www.gooutdoorsidaho.com OR the Riggins Whitewater Market
    • Idaho Fish & Game offers 1-3 day temporary fishing licenses, too. If you are here for only a few days this may be your best option. 
    • Children 13 and younger can fish off of their parent's license. Ages 14-17 must have their own youth license.
  • Lunch, Snacks, Water, Drinks - Your guide will have an ice chest to put things in.
